10 days in Mexico-Costa Mujeres!
We had an amazing trip to Costa Mujeres and Holbox, Mexico!
We arrived at Riu Dunamar and the kiddos were so excited to try out the water park, and beach. Our check in process was very smooth and our rooms were clean, and well maintained. The mini-bars were well stocked, and we had a nice patio with an ocean view (Standard rooms). We grabbed our suits and headed to the beach. The beach is beautiful! Beautiful white sand, and pretty blue water!
After getting cleaned up each night, we headed down to the bar off the main lobby where the bartenders serve up mock tails and hot chocolate for the kids. The wait staff was very attentive to the kids and would bring them snacks to tide them over until dinner. We tried all of the dining options and had a very easy time getting into the a la carte restaurants each night with very minimal wait time.
In the mornings we either went running on the road in front of the resort that leads down to several other resorts or used the well-maintained gym. It is a gorgeous place to run and has sidewalks for miles for an easy run.
We enjoyed splitting our days between the waterpark, beach and pools. The waterpark had 6 slides and we even went down a few times! There is also a water park that caters to younger children as well.
Our group decided to take a day trip over to Isla Mujeres, and we hired a private boat for the day. They gave us several options of where to snorkel, and the kids opted for the more shallow water area. One of our guides took an water proof camera and took really fun shots of the kids. Once the kids tried out, they dropped us off in the Playa Norte area to go eat, shop and swim. We enjoyed an amazing meal, had massages on the beach, and the kids loved the clear waters.
We loved all of the evening entertainment! We saw a Queen show, International night, and Silent Disco party. Silent Disco was one of the kids favorite experiences! There are 3 DJs, and you each get your own headphones. You can control which DJ you are listening to and the volume on your own headphones. This is such a fun experience, and it is fun to see everyone dancing to their own music! Definitely a hit for our kids!
