Make the most of your trip to Costa Rica!

You’ve probably heard the term “Pura Vida” associated with Costa Rica. Pura Vida means pure life. You’ll hear Costa Ricans use it as a greeting but it’s also a philosophy and attitude, a way of remembering to focus on the good things in life. It’s no wonder why everyone is Costa Rica is so friendly! I loved all the happy, smiling faces while visiting. In addition to the friendly locals, the country is rich in culture, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of adventure. It’s a great vacation for exploring and adventure! Here we are highlighting two popular regions.

Enjoy the convenience of all-inclusive resorts? The Pacific Coast is home to the all-inclusive resorts of Costa Rica. Guanacaste is one of the most popular provinces because of the pristine beaches, mountain ranges, and volcanoes. You won’t find the white sand beaches and turquoise water like the Caribbean but the beaches are still beautiful. My kids spent hours playing in the ocean! Venture out and discover the wildlife and volcano at Rincon de la Vieja National Park, zipline at Diamanté Eco Adventure Park, and experience the biodiverse Palo Verde National Park. There is plenty to explore while still enjoying the convenience of an all-inclusive resort.

Located in northern Costa Rica, Arenal Volcano is another popular destination in the country. While it’s possible to take a tour from the Guanacaste area or other regions, it’s a great area to stay and experience. Easy access to waterfalls, the rainforest, volcano, the country’s largest lake, and hot springs offer an abundance of adventure! A great way to experience the beach and rainforest is to do a split stay between both. We often customize itineraries to optimize both experiences.

When is the best time to travel? The dry season, mid December-April, is the ideal time to visit. It’s also peak tourist time and rates are higher. The rainy season is generally May-mid November. It’s still not a bad time to visit, though! While it might rain more, it doesn’t typically last long. You’ll still find plenty of sunshine and better prices. No matter what time of year you go, you are sure to make everlasting memories!
