Puerto Vallarta!
My first love! And I was there to celebrate love. How could this magical place get any better.
My sister and I headed down to a wedding at Dreams Bahia Mita. We took a noon flight so we knew we would be arriving just in time for the rehearsal dinner. Our check in went smoothly, and we were assigned an amazing butler who told us that the rehearsal location had changed to a new location. Our room was large and had a beautiful view of the mountains and ocean! We quickly looked over all the fun amenities (sunscreen, mosquito repellant!) and headed to dinner. The rehearsal dinner was located on a beautiful terrace overlooking pools and ocean. We enjoyed it for a bit but headed in early for a good night’s sleep.
The next day was the wedding day, and the resort had everything running smoothly for the bride. We headed to the rooftop pool to enjoy the views and have a few hours of relaxation! This area is for adult only and is a great place to enjoy the view. We could also monitor the set up of the reception from our spot on the roof.
The wedding went smoothly, and the resort provided fans so we could try to stay cool! The location on the sand above the beach was gorgeous, and the bride could not have been any more radiant! The group headed to the reception held in a private garden.
The next day we explored Sayulita, got massages on the beach for $30, had tacos, and shopped. It was the perfect day! We ended up winding down in the afternoon on the other rooftop pool that had equally gorgeous views. We ended by going to the Hibachi on site for a feast of a meal.
The next day we headed to Marival Armory. This is a hidden gem in Punta Mita! This adult only resort offers a gorgeous beach, and beautiful grounds. We spent our days lounging by the pool, or beach. This resort offers an infinity edge pol overlo
oking the ocean, and another smaller quiet pool.
This resort in general is small, and offers a limited amount of restaurants. All of the options are fantastic! The evening entertainment was local musicians most evenings, and the resort winds down by 10 pm. So if you are looking for a quiet escape this is the spot!
The lead in rooms are smaller rooms. They did offer amazing balcony and views. They do offer larger suites with more amenities.
All in all the stay was such a relaxing break after a busy few days. If you are looking for a more quiet boutique resort on a drop dead gorgeous beach, this is the spot!
